It's not very often I buy a cD without first hearing something of the
band. King cotton was an exception to this. Having heard about them
through the website, I took the plunge and ordered the cD. A young band
from Tallahassee, this is their first cD and they have sold about 15,000
copies to date.

The cD is very well arranged and is a pleasure to listen to. The
cockiness of the first track, 10' Tall, could have been an overstatement
that damaged the rest of the cD. With lines like "The fortune teller
said, you'll sing King cotton songs" and "You'll hum those tunes in your
head". However, this has turned out to be true.

A sense of humor comes across in the feeling, especially on tracks like
Spider to the Fly and the hidden track at the end of the cD, A Little
christmas Naughty. The upbeat Blues that King cotton delivers gets your
feet stomping and you wanting to see them live, because dancing in your
living room just isn't the same.

Hopefully, before too long, we will see these guys in the Tampa Bay
