Dan Electro & The Silvertones
"Reason To Lie"
This cD is so full of energy, it's hard to stay seated when you listen
to it. Dan Electro & The Silvertones are a slick, tight, swingin' jump
band and they don't slow down anywhere on this album-even on a song
called Too Tired.
Reason To Lie shows off the band's considerable talents with Dan
Electro's effulgent harmonica and energetic vocals leading the group
through 16 songs-most of them originals. Greg Poulos' nimble guitar and
solid horn and rhythm sections back up Electro, playing with the relaxed
precision of long-time pros. The light-hearted fun this band projects is reflected in the song
selection. Tunes like Just Too cool, Middle Age Mutant, and
15 Minutes
>From Spent keep the dynamic strictly tongue-in-cheek and all fun.
I don't know if Dan & the band considered this when they produced it,
but their cD is one of the best exercise albums I've ever heard. Follow
any routine to these torrid tunes and I'll guarantee weight loss.
Anybody who likes to dance or just listen to some high-energy
jump blues
will find Reason To Lie very satisfying.
