"It's Party Time"
For those of you who have seen chubby live you will know it is quite an
experience. High energy is what chubby carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band
are all about. How can a band that gets everyone on the dance floor from
the opening song transfer that to cD?
That was my question when I received the cD to
review. Well it turned out the title "It's Party Time"
was appropriate. By supercharging Zydeco with some energetic funk this cD
really wants to make you party. The songs are underlined with a real foot
stomping beat and a good horn backing and, of course, chubby's great
squeeze box.
The ten tracks on this cD really jump and jive, even the slower Keeping Me
Out Of The Storm has your feet tapping and Bernadette, the
tale of love gone bad, has you itching to hear them live and party.
I 'm a big Zydeco fan but I have to say this is a
great cD and one to keep handy for parties. My only criticism is the
length. At only about 50 minutes playing time it would have been nice to
have seen a few more tracks to fill up that blank space. You can checkout
